Pastor-Elders

Our Pastors (also known as shepherds, overseers, and elders) are men responsible for the overall pastoral leadership, governing, oversight and teaching of the congregation (Ephesians 4:11-13, I Timothy 3:1-7, Acts 20:28, 1 Peter 5:1-4). A pastor is called to care for the church by teaching scripture, preaching the gospel, and leading the church.

Deacons

Deacons serve those in need and help to meet physical needs in the congregation (Acts 6:1-7; I Timothy 3: 8-13). Deacons offer help to those in crisis by assessing their physical needs and working to find practical solutions. Unlike elders who are responsible for teaching the gospel, administering healing prayer, and overseeing the church, deacons focus on extending mercy and compassion.
