Treasure, Grow, Proclaim

As a local church in the Greater Lansing, Michigan area, we seek to Treasure God through worship, Grow in the likeness of our Savior Jesus Christ through discipleship and fellowship, and Proclaim the Good News of the Gospel through mercy, evangelism, and missions.

Gospel-Centered

Bible-Based Expository Preaching

The Bible is God’s Word and is our source of truth and the foundation to declare the hope of the Gospel. Expository preaching (line by line through a book of the Bible) helps us to see God’s Word clearly so that we may understand and rightly apply it to our lives. “Expository preaching is empowered preaching that rightfully submits the shape and emphasis of the sermon to the shape and emphasis of a biblical text.” – David Helm

Gospel-Centered Discipleship

A disciple of Jesus is one who comes to Him for eternal life, has claimed Him as Savior and Lord, and has embarked on a life of following Him. That life would entail obedience to the Word of God, learning to be like Jesus, and trusting Him in all of our days and situations, with Jesus as the dominating presence.

Gospel-Centered Worship

We worship God through prayer, fellowship, singing, giving, partaking of the Lord’s Supper, sharing joys and sorrows, reciting Scripture, and listening to the preaching of God’s Word. In particular, the songs that are selected remind us of what God has done, is doing, and will do to fulfill His purposes for His glory. Worship embodies praise, petitions, and thanksgiving to the Lord.

Gospel-Centered Children and Youth Ministries

Our children are a gift from God. As such, we believe in teaching them the Gospel at an early age. Youth ministry is done side-by-side with the parents, not in replacement of them. As a church body, we hope to train families to live in light of God’s word, equipping parents to be the primary leaders in the discipleship of their children.
